WWE had NXT wrestlers and Performance Center trainees in the crowd last night on Raw for the first time in the coronavirus era.
Here are some notes on last night’s tapings, via PWInsider:
- WWE was originally scheduled to tape two Raws last night (last night’s and next week’s) but instead changed things up and taped last night’s Raw and Friday’s SmackDown, as well as 205 Live and Main Event.
- It was a long day of tapings, taking about 9-10 hours.
- The wrestlers in the crowd had to stand on their feet for the majority of the tapings, making it a very exhausting day. It seems like it would make more sense to help keep the energy up if they were able to sit during the shows. There were short breaks between matches with wrestlers being able to sit, though.
- Everyone in the building had their temperature checked before being able to travel to the building, and had it checked later in the day, but WWE did not do any actual COVID-19 testing.
- WWE is talking about keeping the plexiglass up around the crowd at first when they’re finally able to bring real fans back into buildings.
- Today, WWE is taping next week’s Raw, the June 5 SmackDown, 205 Live and Main Event. On Wednesday, they’ll tape two weeks of NXT.
