Kairi Sane suffered a “significant head cut” during a match against Nia Jax at the WWE Raw tapings earlier today at the Performance Center, but she was cleaned up and was able to finish the match.
According to Fightful, Sane was thrown into the ring steps by Jax and her head hit the corner of the steps, busting her open. Sane reportedly said that she was fine and wanted to continue the match. The match was paused, she was checked on by medics and cleaned up, and they then continued the match and immediately went to the finish.
Dave Meltzer said it was a “significant head cut,” but there were no reports of further injury. If she was able to continue the match, albeit briefly, it doesn’t appear that it was too serious.
I’m just informing people of the injury since a lot of stories have gotten out. Probably not a good idea to rush to judgment on blame just yet. Injuries are common in wrestling and part of the game, without having the incident described, it’s too early to point fingers. https://t.co/rGXYeYO8wr

In December, Sane missed about a month of action after suffering a concussion at WWE TLC.
