Three more teams have been revealed for the upcoming “AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw.”
On a live stream last night, Chris Jericho said that former NXT wrestler Taynara Conti will wrestle in the tournament and will team up with Anna Jay. They will face the team of Nyla Rose and Ariane Andrew, who matched with each other on Wednesday’s Dynamite. The Conti & Jay vs. Rose & Ariane match has apparently already been taped. Conti was released by WWE in April.
Dave Meltzer also revealed two other teams on Wrestling Observer Radio last night. Brandi Rhodes will team with Allie, while Diamante will team with Ivelisse.
There will be eight total teams in the tournament, leaving four teams and eight wrestlers to be revealed.
The tournament will apparently start on Monday at 7 PM ET on AEW’s YouTube channel, though it’s still not clear if that will be the start of the actual wrestling or more team drawings, or something else.
