AEW beat NXT again this week, but both shows were down. AEW continued their recent pattern of taped shows (with lots of sweetened crowd noise) doing better in the ratings than their live shows, which typically have a quieter-sounding crowd, which makes the vibe a lot less lively.
AEW Dynamite drew 792,000 viewers on TNT, down from last week’s 901,000 viewers.
NXT drew 619,000 viewers on USA, down from last week’s 753,000 viewers.
AEW doubled NXT in the 18-49 demographic, coming in at #9 on cable for the day with a 0.32 rating (down from 0.36 last week), while NXT was #65 with a 0.16 rating (down from 0.20).
Last week’s Dynamite beat the latest Raw and SmackDown episodes in people 18-34 (0.29 to 0.22 for Raw and 0.20 for SmackDown), but Dynamite was down to a 0.18 in that demographic this week, behind Raw and SmackDown.
