Karrion Kross may have suffered a separated shoulder during his NXT Championship win against Keith Lee tonight at NXT Takeover: XXX.
During a post-show media conference call, Triple H said that Kross suffered the injury at some point in the match and is going to get an MRI, but it appears to be a separated shoulder. Kross appeared to be favoring his right shoulder and his arm seemed limp for a good part of the match, but he was still able to wrestle through it and hit Keith Lee with a few big suplexes after the injury.
Triple H said that he and the NXT trainers knew that he was hurt, but they were comfortable with him continuing the match and Kross wanted to continue. He said that after they get Kross an MRI, they’ll figure out how bad the injury is and how to work around it. He said that his heart breaks for Kross for that to happen during such a big moment for him, but he praised his toughness and ability to get through it.
