Eric Young is the new Impact World Champion.
Young defeated former champ Eddie Edwards on tonight’s Impact episode via piledriver to win the title.
After being released by WWE in April, Young rejoined Impact at Slammiversary in July and has been pushed as a top heel.
This is Young’s second Impact World title reign. He previously won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in 2014, defeating Magnus. He’s also a former two time TNA X Division Champion and two time TNA World Tag Team Champion.
