— We have now learned that former TNA star Kevin Nash actually signed a contract with TNA Wrestling in the middle of January. He was set to return as a member of the new “Main Event Mafia”. Of course, plans changed at the last minute. There were also major creative re-writes at last week’s TV tapings due to it being a VERY last minute decision for Nash to return to WWE. TNA President Dixie Carter agreed to sign Nash’s release on the Friday before WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. We apologize for the earlier error.
— WWE’s initial plans on Kevin Nash was for him to appear at the Royal Rumble and sign him to a “Legends” contract where he would be used for promotional appearances and the occasional television appearance. Based on the strong reaction he received at the Rumble, another match has not been ruled out. However, nobody expects him to be brought back as an active wrestler.
