“Mr. Monday Night” Rob Van Dam appears to be set to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame this year.
During an interview with the “NCW Show” that was released today, Sabu said that RVD will be inducted this year.
“Rob Van Dam is getting into the Hall of Fame this year, I think,” he said. “I wasn’t supposed to say nothing, but you can tell people.”
Fightful Select is also reporting that RVD will be inducted this year.
During an interview last month with “That 90’s Wrestling Podcast,” RVD said that if he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, his first choice for the person he’d like to induct him is Paul Heyman.
“It kinda has to be Paul, doesn’t it?” he said. “I think it has to be Paul. Sabu doesn’t talk very good and on the real, Paul is the only real producer/agent that’s ever really had my best interests at heart and understood me and because of that I think it would have to be him, as predictable as that is.” (h/t: Sportskeeda)
Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff are the first two people announced for this year’s class. The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will stream on Peacock on Tuesday, April 6 in the US and on WWE Network elsewhere.
