“Blood & Guts” Match Announced for May 5th AEW Dynamite

AEW will finally do their long-awaited version of the WarGames match, which they call a “Blood & Guts Match” on the May 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.

It’ll be The Inner Circle vs. The Pinnacle. Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz vs. MJF, Shawn Spears, Wardlow & FTR.

Chris Jericho laid out the challenge to MJF’s stable tonight on Dynamite.

“You want blood and violence, you’re gonna get it,” Jericho said in the promo. “May 5th. Right here in Daily’s Place. First time ever. Pinnacle vs. Inner Circle in a Blood & Guts match!”

The first Blood & Guts match was supposed to take place on March 25 of last year in Newark, NJ between The Inner Circle and The Elite, but it was right as the pandemic was starting, so AEW postponed and ultimately de facto canceled it as The Elite broke up and plans changed.
