New Champions Crowned at NXT TakeOver 36
Tonight’s WWE NXT TakeOver 36 event at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured four championships defended on the show’s six-match card. Three out of the four championships changed hands throughout the show.
The new champions crowned at NXT TakeOver 36 were:
- Cameron Grimes defeated LA Knight for the Million Dollar Championship.
- Ilja Dragunov defeated WALTER for the NXT UK Championship.
- Samoa Joe defeated Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship
Kay Lee Ray Makes Surprise Appearance at NXT TakeOver 36
Tonight’s NXT TakeOver 36 event also featured Kay Lee Ray making a surprise appearance on the show.
Following the end of the NXT Women’s Championship match between Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, Ray made her surprise return to the NXT brand. Lee confronted NXT Women’s Champion Gonzalez teasing a potential NXT Women’s title feud between the two.
