It drew a 0.70 rating in the 18-49 demographic, up from last week’s final rating of 0.55.

Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert reported that Friday’s overnight viewership likely also included viewership from NFL pre-season games that aired in several FOX markets during SmackDown’s time slot.
Last year’s SmackDown on August 28, 2020 drew 2,181,000 viewers.
