Pro Wrestling Illustrated recently announced that The Young Bucks took the top spot in their Tag Team 50 list for 2021.
This is the second year that PWI has released a rankings list for tag teams, following last year’s inaugural list that was topped by FTR.
PWI stated that this year’s list covered the time period between October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021 and tag teams were ranked based on criteria that included momentum, win record, chemistry, creativity, overall activity, and “it” factor.
All Elite Wrestling had the most teams ranked in the Top 5 with two, followed by WWE, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Stardom at one each.
PWI’s Top 5 Tag Teams of 2021:
- The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (ranked #11 in 2020)
- The Lucha Bros (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero M) (ranked #7 in 2020)
- Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi) (ranked #30 in 2020)
- The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) (unranked in 2020)
- ALK (Giulia & Syuri) (unranked in 2020)
