Vince McMahon was interviewed by Pat McAfee today on the Pat McAfee Show and towards the end of the interview, McMahon offered McAfee a match at WrestleMania against an opponent yet to be determined…
“I want to offer you something,” McMahon said. “I know you love what we do and you’re a part of the team, big time. People in the organization really enjoy you. I think fans all over the world really enjoy you being you. You’re you and that’s why it works.
“With that, I’d like to offer you an opportunity to actually wrestle at WrestleMania. In the ring. It would be different than when you played for the Colts. You were the punter. Now in the ring, you’re going to be a linebacker.”
“That would be a dream,” McAfee excitedly responded. “There’s been a lot of chatter on the internet about me getting back in the ring and wrestling at WrestleMania. I’ve had so many torn, conflicted feelings because I’m out of shape. I would love to, it would be an absolute honor.”
McMahon said, “We’ll find some worthy opponent for you and put you in the ring. I don’t bullshit. I don’t do that.”

It’s been rumored since last week that McAfee will wrestle Vince McMahon himself at WrestleMania. The match is reportedly penciled in internally by WWE. Dave Meltzer said that it’s expected to be “smoke and mirrors,” with 76 year old McMahon potentially not getting too physical if he in fact does wrestle.
