AEW Revolution 2022 reportedly is currently estimated to have generated the second highest ever amount of pay-per-view buys in AEW history, according to the Wrestling Observer Radio.
Dave Meltzer reported that AEW generated around 110,000 streaming PPV buys for their Revolution 2022 event on Bleacher Report and FITE TV based on the numbers from both services.
While early numbers from traditional cable PPV providers are currently not known, Meltzer estimated that the total PPV buyrate for Revolution 2022 will likely be somewhere between 1460,000 to 170,000. Meltzer reported that once early numbers from cable providers become available, the more accurate buyrate range will likely be between 165,000 to 170,000.
Based on current buys numbers and estimates, Revolution 2022 is currently expected to have generated the second highest ever PPV buys for an AEW event in AEW history. This would only be behind All Out 2021, which generated 205,000 buys. This would also be up compared to last year’s Revolution 2021 event, which generated 135,000 buys, and Revolution 2020 event, which generated 90,000 buys.
This past November’s Full Gear 2021 event was reported to have generated 145,000 buys.
