Marko Stunt’s AEW contract runs “until May,” according to Fightful Select. It’s unclear if that means May 1 or later.
Stunt last wrestled for AEW in September on AEW Dark. He most recently wrestled on a GCW show last month on February 20.
Stunt hasn’t been backstage at AEW tapings in months and there have been no creative plans mentioned for him backstage, Fightful says.
Sources Fightful spoke to said that Stunt previously “had expressed his willingness to prove himself and remain with the company,” but it’s unclear where things stand at this point.
Joey Janela said earlier this week that his AEW contract expires on May 1 and he will not be re-signing with the company. Janela also mentioned Stunt, saying that AEW “just stopped talking to him.”
“They don’t communicate with me,” Janela said. “They did the same thing to Marko Stunt. They just stopped talking to him.”
