WWE Announces Change in Venue for Money in the Bank 2022 Event

WWE recently sent an official email informing those who have purchased tickets for their upcoming Money in the Bank 2022 event that they have changed the venue for the event, according to F4WOnline.com.

WWE stated in their email that their Money in the Bank 2022 event will no longer be taking place at the Allegiant Stadium and instead will now take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was also stated that all those who have purchased tickets for the original venue will be automatically refunded and a new pre-sale for the new venue will officially start on June 1st.

While the official reason for the venue change was not given, it is currently rumored to be due to WWE’s lower than expected tickets sales for the event. WrestleTix reported that prior to WWE’s announcement, only around 17,924 tickets had been sold and distributed out of a potential capacity of 24,867 for the event.

In regards to venue capacity, Allegiant Stadium has a listed max capacity of 65,000 for events while MGM Grand Garden Arena has a listed max capacity of 17,000. WrestleTix reported that WWE likely will have a setup capacity of around 12,000 for their upcoming event at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
