Roman Reigns is currently not scheduled to wrestle at the WWE Money in the Bank PPV on July 2, according to Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso.
He was apparently scheduled at one point, but no longer is. It’s unclear exactly why, but Barrasso says that “plans changed once Money in the Bank was moved from [the much bigger] Allegiant Stadium to the indoor MGM Grand Garden Arena.”
Riddle called out Roman Reigns on Monday’s Raw, saying that he wanted to take his titles, but it’s unclear when that match could happen. On Friday’s SmackDown, Drew McIntyre also called out Reigns for a match at Clash at the Castle in Wales on September 3. Randy Orton has also been rumored as a possible challenger for Reigns whenever he returns.
Last month, it was reported that Reigns had recently signed a new deal that will give him a reduced WWE schedule, though it was said that he would mainly be working fewer house shows.
