Kyle O’Reilly posted a photo of himself in the hospital on his Instagram stories and implied that he had undergone neck fusion surgery, which is typically a serious surgery that could keep him out for months.
He posted these two stories back to back:

O’Reilly last wrestled on the June 8 Dynamite in a loss to Jon Moxley. He appeared on Dynamite last month, involved in an angle where the Undisputed Elite attacked the Young Bucks.
Bobby Fish, O’Reilly’s reDRagon tag team partner, is reportedly done with AEW, at least for now, after his contract expired on August 31.
