This past Saturday’s WWE Extreme Rules 2022 event featured the official return of Bray Wyatt to the company. Prior to his return, WWE had been airing “White Rabbit” cryptic teasers in the weeks leading up to the show, which was revealed to be for Wyatt in the end.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Wyatt’s return was received very well backstage and WWE officials were extremely happy over the positive reaction from both the live crowd in Philadelphia and those watching from home.
One source spoken to stated that they had been aware beforehand of the plans for Wyatt’s return but some people backstage had been purposely kept out of the loop in regards to what the context of the White Rabbit videos were for.
WWE Creative reportedly was very hands off with the creation and references for the White Rabbit videos which meant that Wyatt had a good amount of say in the creative plans for his return.
It was also reported that Wyatt also currently has a very good working relationship with WWE’s new long-term creative director Rob Fee, who had previously pitched a film about The Fiend to WWE prior to Wyatt’s release last year.
