AEW: Zack Clayton Signs Deal, Chris Jericho on AEW’s Canada Debut, Ethan Page on Working as Producer

Zack Clayton Signs Deal with AEW

Tuesday’s AEW Dark show featured a backstage promo segment by Zack Clayton. During his promo, Clayton revealed that he recently signed an official contract with AEW.

“The landscape of AEW has changed indefinitely, and that’s because I’ve officially signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling. Let me tell you what that means for you: number one, you’re gonna respect me, and you’re gonna worship the ground that I stand on. Number two, I’m gonna do whatever I wanna do around here, and I don’t care who likes it or not. All of a sudden, everyone wants to play ‘tough guy’ around here. Everybody’s a tough guy. So if everyone’s so tough, then how about someone steps up and challenges ‘The Reality?’ But I’m not so sure that’s gonna happen. So until then, how about I remind everybody of the newest and biggest new sign-on to AEW, ‘The Reality’ Zack Clayton.”

Prior to his signing, Clayton has been working in AEW since this past August and had made sporadic appearances in 2020 and 2021.

Chris Jericho Comments on AEW’s Debut Shows in Canada This Week

Now Toronto held a recent interview with Chris Jericho. One of the topics discussed included Jericho’s thoughts on AEW’s upcoming debut shows in Canada this week.

“It’s been a long time coming. Right out of the gate we were a big hit in Canada. I know our numbers on TSN are really good. But we had this little thing called the worldwide pandemic that delayed getting here. I was always asking, “When are we hitting Canada? When’s Toronto?” Now that it’s almost time… it’s really exciting. Toronto wrestling fans are off the charts. Whenever someone asks about the best wrestling cities in the world I always say London, Chicago, Tokyo and Toronto. Toronto is loud. You cheer for who you want to cheer for… sometimes that would drive WWE heads of state crazy. They would call it bizzaro land. But that’s the Canadian way. We’ll go nuts for who we like and we’ll boo who we hate. We don’t care what we are “supposed” to do. I’m excited to see the reaction we get.”

Ethan Page Comments on Working as an Agent in AEW & Career Future

Daily Hive held a recent interview with Ethan Page. One of the topics discussed included Page revealing that he recently worked as a backstage agent in AEW and his thoughts on the future of his career in the company.

“I would say the potential is unlimited. And I don’t just mean on-screen. I mean behind the scenes, too. I’ve recently gotten to agent a match, put the headset on and get to do that live. That was an experience that I hope to be able to do again. I love writing. I love being creative. So I hope I have the longest career humanly possible at AEW and not just on-screen.”
