WWE Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque reportedly recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Levesque is currently feeling well but had been sent home and was unable to perform his in-person backstage duties running Monday’s RAW show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Levesque reportedly is currently expected to be away from his backstage duties until he clears the company’s current COVID-19 protocols.
Levesque reportedly had been in contact with the company’s producers and writers and had felt good about the creative plans and team in place to run things in his absence heading into last night’s show.
WWE officials reportedly are currently hopeful that Levesque will be able to return as soon as possible following a negative test result but it is currently not known if he will be ready in time for this Friday’s SmackDown show in Toledo, Ohio or next week’s RAW show in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In a separate report, Johnson reported that his sources stated that Brian “Road Dogg” James was the main person in charge of running Monday’s RAW show. Ed Koskey and Michael Hayes reportedly helped lead the creative process for the show.
In regards to WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard, Johnson reported that his sources stated that Prichard was not in attendance backstage during Monday’s RAW show.
