This past Tuesday’s NXT show featured a singles match between Grayson Waller and R-Truth, which was called off due to R-Truth suffering a serious knee-related injury. The injury occurred following a botched spot where R-Truth performed a sunset dive to Waller and landed awkwardly on his leg on the outside.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while his injury has yet to be confirmed, his sources stated that the current belief is that R-Truth had suffered a torn quad injury. Meltzer reported that due to the severity of the injury, R-Truth would be expected to be out of action for a long time as a result.
