New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Kota Ibushi’s contract with the company officially expired today and he has left the company.
NJPW also stated that they apologize for the abruptness of their announcement and wish Ibushi the best in his future endeavors.
Kota Ibushi leaves New Japan Pro-Wrestling
With the conclusion of his contract period on January 31 2023, Kota Ibushi has departed New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Ibushi had been recovering from injury since October 2021.
We apologise to Ibushi’s fans for the abrupt announcement, and join them in wishing Ibushi the very best in all his future endeavours.
Prior to his departure, Ibushi had worked for NJPW from 2009 to 2014 and from October of 2016 to January of 2023, first as a free lancer and later as a contracted talent. Ibushi had been out of action for NJPW since October of 2021 due to an arm injury.
