As noted before, Vince McMahon made his official return to WWE and their Board of Directors this past January. As part of McMahon’s return, WWE is currently pursuing a potential sale of the company to a new owner by the middle of this year.
CNBC held a recent interview with WWE CEO Nick Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts on his current timeline for a potential sale of the company.
“Quick. I think it’s going to be a fast process. Maybe three months.”
In response to comments made by co-host David Faber about his sources stating that NBC Universal is currently not likely to be the buyer, Khan stated that he is still bullish on the chances of Comcast, NBCU’s parent company, purchasing WWE.
Khan also gave his thoughts about the reception from the marketplace over their potential sale.
“We certainly got a warm reception in the marketplace for those who are interested.”
