WWE reportedly is currently working on plans to hold two major specials for their NXT brand this summer, according to PWInsider and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials are currently planning for their next NXT event following this month’s NXT Battleground event to take place on August 12th. Johnson reported that WWE officials have yet to lock down a location for this upcoming NXT brand event.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE officials are also currently planning for their next NXT special to take place on July 4th and would air on USA Network. This upcoming NXT special reportedly is currently planned to be this year’s Great American Bash special.
Meltzer reported that this upcoming NXT special for this July and PLE event on Peacock for this August have yet to both be made official but this is something that WWE officials have talked about for their plans for their NXT brand this summer.
