Mickie James Reportedly Cleared for In-Ring Return & Impact Contract Update

As noted before, Mickie James has been out of action for Impact Wrestling due to a rib injury. In a recent interview with the Cultaholic Wrestling podcast, James’ husband and Impact talent Nick Aldis revealed that James had fully recovered from her injury and is just waiting to make her return to wrestling.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that James was medically cleared for an in-ring return a few weeks ago and is currently expected to make her return very soon.

In regards to her contract status with Impact, it was reported that James is technically currently a free agent and is someone who has always had plenty of options available for her career.

Prior to her suffering a rib injury, those spoken to within Impact reportedly stated that James was originally expected to remain with Impact until at least this Summer. One source spoken to reportedly stated that James has technically always been a free agent since her return to the company in 2021. This same source stated that James has the reputation within Impact of being a woman of her word and Impact officials never had any real concerns of her backing out of her commitments despite her not actually being signed to the company.
