Andre Chase Makes Surprise Return at NXT Gold Rush Week 2 Show

Tuesday’s NXT Gold Rush Week 2 show featured Andre Chase making his surprise return to WWE’s NXT brand.

Following the NXT Women’s Championship match between Thea Hail and champion Tiffany Stratton, Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey berated Hail for losing and attacked on Duke Hudson. This led to Chase making his surprise return and running out to save Hudson. Chase and Hudson then brawled with Gulak and Dempsey forcing them to run away. Chase and Hudson stood tall in the ring while Hail ran around them in a circle in celebration.

This was Chase’s first appearance in NXT since the April 25th NXT Spring Breakin’ 2023 show.

The Creed Bros vs. The Dyad Loser Leaves NXT Match Announced for Next Week’s Show

Tuesday’s NXT Gold Rush Week 2 show also featured a Loser Leaves NXT match announced for the card of next week’s NXT show.

This match will be between The Creed Bros (Julius & Brutus Creed) and The Dyad (Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid).

This match was setup following a Schism Family Meeting in-ring segment involving Joe Gacy and The Dyad airing out their grievances with each other. This led to the Creed Brothers interrupting and a back-and-forth banter between the two groups over which one is worse for NXT.

Gacy then stated that the only way to settle their issues was for one of them to leave and issued a Loser Leaves NXT match challenge between the Creeds and Dyad for next week’s show, which was quickly accepted by Julius Creed.

Rhea Ripley Makes Surprise Appearance at NXT Gold Rush Week 2 Show

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured Rhea Ripley making a surprise appearance.

In a backstage segment during the show, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes were discussing about Hayes upcoming NXT Championship match against Baron Corbin. Their conversation was interrupted by Ripley who made her surprise appearance and return to NXT.

Ripley stated that the reason she showed up was due to having to send a message to them. Ripley stated that Finn Balor was handling the Judgement Day’s business last week to Rollins but they decided to stick their nose into it. Ripley stated that was a big mistake done since now they have become Judgement Day’s business.
