As noted before, Bryan Danielson suffered a fractured right forearm injury during his match against Kazuchika Okada at this past Sunday’s AEW and NJPW Forbidden Door II event in Toronto, Canada.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Danielson’s recent injury caused AEW officials to make several adjustment for their creative plans for him following their Forbidden Door II event. Danielson reportedly was originally planned to wrestle more on AEW television and had been planned to be involved in the upcoming Blood & Guts match for the July 19th Dynamite show in Boston, Massachusetts.
In regards to Danielson’s backstage work as a member of AEW’s creative team, those spoken to reportedly stated that Danielson has been lauded backstage by AEW officials for his creative contributions to the company. Danielson reportedly has been very valuable in speaking with talent about how they want their creative to be handled in the company and the ways to communicate things between talent and AEW’s creative team.
It was reported that those spoken to stated that the original reports of Danielson being responsible for coming up with the idea for the Championship Friday episode of AEW Rampage earlier this month was not true and instead AEW CEO Tony Khan was the person who came up with the idea.
