Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE CEO Nick Khan and CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque are currently rumored to be planning to hold a “creative intervention meeting” with WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon.
It was reported that Levesque and Khan are currently rumored to be planning to ask McMahon to step back from making major late changes to the plans for WWE shows that he has been doing of late from his remote location.
It was reported that this meeting was rumored to be originally scheduled to take place at the June 26th RAW show in Savannah, Georgia which did not happen in the end. Those spoken to reportedly stated that they had heard the possibility of a meeting involving McMahon but also stated that they had never heard it actually took place. Several talent spoken to reportedly stated that this usually would be the type of thing that would happen in the middle of the week and not directly ahead of a RAW show except if it was a talent meeting.
It was reported that no such meeting has taken place yet nor is a meeting currently scheduled to take place any time soon. It was also reported that due to McMahon’s very high position within the company, any meeting of this type could only be made as a recommendation and not as a required mandatory meeting. Neither Khan nor Levesque reportedly currently have the type of power within WWE to force McMahon out of creative.
It was also reported that one WWE official spoken to claimed that there was no truth to these rumors and dismissed it as being silly. It was noted that WWE officials had previously dismissed the idea of McMahon returning to creative for quite some time until he actually did so.
