Update:
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed PWInsider’s report and stated that WWE officials currently consider Giulia to be a “priority acquisition” for the company.
It was also reported that AEW also had been interested in using Giulia earlier this year. This reportedly was during the period when AEW was in talks with Stardom for potential plans for some sort of talent crossover. It was reported that it is currently not known if AEW officials had made any creative plans for Giulia at the time.
WWE reportedly is currently very interested in signing Stardom talent Giulia to a potential contract with the company, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources in Japan stated that WWE is currently attempting to court Giulia in the hope of signing her to potential deal with the company.
One source spoken to reportedly stated that WWE’s talks with Giulia are far enough along that they currently expect Giulia to report to WWE’s Performance Center at some point this month.
Giulia has been with Stardom since 2019 and is currently the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion and also one third of the Artist of Stardom Champion with fellow Donna del Mondo members Mai Sakurai and Thekla. Giulia most recently worked for New Japan Pro Wrestling at their NJPW Strong Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2023 event this past October in Las Vegas, Nevada.
