Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reported that his sources confirmed Meltzer’s report about Jade’s injury being a torn ACL. Pollock reported that a timetable for Jade’s potential return is currently not known.
In a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer went into more details regarding the potential source of Jade’s injury.
Meltzer speculated that issues with the current training system at WWE’s Performance Center might have been the potential source of Jade’s injury due to many talents had suffered similar injuries in recent times. Meltzer reported that this belief is based on many within WWE’s NXT Women’s division had suffered similar injuries in the past and several people previously spoken to had brought up their issues over the method of training being done when it came to their female talents.
Bryan Alvarez – “(Jade’s) knee’s apparently not looking good, perhaps a torn ACL, which I know a lot of in NXT have suffered the torn ACL. So, whatever’s happening I don’t know.”
Dave Meltzer – “I’ve had people – this was before Cora Jade was hurt, this was when Sol Roca went down and a couple of the others, Wendy Choo, Nikkita Lyons – just telling me that they were questioning the method of training when it feels like all the women – Tegan Nox got two of them, one on each leg I believe – just questioning what they are doing in training because historically women don’t get torn ACLs left and right.”
