— The New Japan Pro Wrestling show last night in Rahway, NJ drew 587 fans. NJPW announced in Japan that the show drew a sellout 1800 fans. Really.
— With that being said, NJPW was happy with the 587 attendance.
— The company held a Japanese drumming ceremony to welcome everyone to the tour and bless the tour. The drum corp, New Jersey Bi Wa N Ko, featured ten children doing traditional drumming from Nagano, Japan.
— The company did film the show with their camera crew as they are planning to air some of it on TV in Japan and on DVD.
— The show was produced like a regular NJPW show down to the smallest details, such as theme music, announcements of how many minutes had passed in the time limit, etc.
— Many NJPW wrestlers signed autographs for free before the show. Backstage passes were also sold for $50.
— Several of the talents also did a pre-show meet and greet with VIP ticketholders.
