Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite drew 683,000 viewers on TBS, down from last week’s 762,000 viewers. This week’s show was notable for airing live on the West Coast outside of its usual taped primetime time slot due to TNT’s commitments with the 2024 NBA Playoffs that night.
It drew a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 key demographic, down from last week’s 0.26 rating.
In regards to sports competition that night, The 2024 NBA Playoffs Game 2 of Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics drew 3,125,000 viewers combined on TNT and TruTV and the 2024 NBA Playoffs Game 2 of New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder drew 3,020,000 viewers combined on TNT and TruTV. The 2024 NHL Playoffs Game 3 of Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs drew 1,238,000 viewers on ESPN and the 2024 NHL Playoffs Game 2 of Las Vegas Golden Knights vs. Dallas Stars drew 1,003,000 viewers on ESPN.
This time last year on April 26, 2023, Dynamite drew 863,000 viewers and a 0.28 18-49 rating. The April 27, 2022 episode drew 921,000 viewers and a 0.33 rating.
