Michael Cole reportedly is stepping back from his current management role over WWE’s commentary teams, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials recently made some internal changes in regards to the behind-the-scenes management of their commentary teams.
Cole reportedly had been the lead management person for WWE’s commentary teams for a long time but he recently pulled back from those duties in order to fully concentrate on his current on-camera work as the lead announcer for WWE’s RAW brand and pay-per-view events.
Johnson reported that this was a decision made by Cole and WWE officials had no issues over it.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that longtime WWE employee Sue Cundaro has taken over Cole’s former responsibilities and is now the head person in charge of overseeing WWE’s commentary teams going forward. Prior to her promotion, Cundaro reportedly had worked under Cole managing the commentary teams.
