As noted before, Ricochet’s contract with WWE is currently set to expire this summer.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Ricochet recently gave his notice to WWE officials informing them of his intent to leave the company once his current contract expires.
Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that Ricochet is currently expected to be written out of WWE storylines and plans very soon and in advance of his contract expiration.
One source spoken to reportedly stated that they give Ricochet “all the credit in the world for betting on himself” for his decision to leave WWE.
Johnson reported that the current expectation is that Ricochet will be a hot commodity once he officially becomes a free agent.
Ricochet has been working for WWE since January of 2019.
