As noted before, New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Shota Umino was pulled from this past Sunday’s Dominion 2024 event due to him recently suffering a back-related injury.
Umino provided an update on Twitter earlier today stating that he had suffered a fractured hip and strained disc injury. Umino also stated that he will be taking a small break from wrestling to heal up and currently expects to return to the ring by next month’s G1 Climax 2024 tournament.
“I had a hip fracture and a strained disc.
It’s the L45 disc. I also had an MRI done. I’ll somehow get back to Tokyo tomorrow. I will definitely be back by G1.
I’m going to take a break for a while. Sorry.”
