Will Ospreay Comments on “There’s Money in a Rematch With Ricochet, There’s Also Money in a Tag Team”
CBS Sports held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s thoughts about what number he would give on a scale of one to ten of the likelihood of Ricochet joining AEW once his contract with WWE expires.
“Five. I’ve said this to a lot of people recently. I’ve been shouting his name off in the distance for years, and I do mean years. It’s only now just because his contract is coming up that people think is going to happen. I speak to Ricochet every now and again. There is nothing said between us about whether something is going to pop off. Honestly, I hope he does. I really really hope he does. I miss him, as a friend. I do think there is money on the table to do a rematch, but I do think there is money on the table to do a tag team.”

AEW Double or Nothing 2024 PPV Buys Update
AEW reportedly is currently estimated to have generated around 142,000 pay-per-view buys for this past May’s Double or Nothing 2024 event based on updated late buys purchases, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that Double or Nothing 2024’s buys are currently around 18.1% higher than this past April’s Dynasty event based on updated late buys purchases after the same number of days after the event. Meltzer reported that Double or Nothing 2024’s television buys had a large spike from late buys purchases while it is currently not known if its streaming buys had showed a similar level of increase for late purchases compared to Dynasty. Meltzer reported that based on this percentage, that would give a current estimate of around 142,00 buys for Double or Nothing 2024.
