AEW has been airing vignettes on AEW Collision shows in recent weeks teasing the debut of a new mystery “Hologram” masked wrestler, who is currently expected to be former Lucha Libre AAA talent Aramis. This new mystery masked wrestler will be making his official debut in AEW at tonight’s Collision show in Arlington, Texas.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that AEW officials plans for this new “Hologram” masked wrestler had been in the works for over a year.
Those spoken to reportedly confirmed that Aramis is currently expected to portray this new character in a role that AEW’s creative team has been planning for quite some time. AEW reportedly had trademarked the Hologram name for this new character over a year ago.
In regards to AEW’s plans for Hologram’s debut, it was reported that one source spoken to stated that the Hologram character will be “unique to AEW” and was described to be “technologically ambitious.”
