This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary Show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania featured Nigel McGuinness filling in for Taz in AEW commentary due to the storyline reason of Taz being attacked by a mysterious person in a parking lot off-screen prior to the start of the show. During the show, HOOK stated that he was coming after whoever had attacked his father and promised to get revenge on that person.
Taz provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that he will be undergoing total knee replacement surgery very soon and will be absent from AEW for a while.
“Unfortunately, I will be out for awhile. I’ll be having total knee replacement surgery very soon. Talk to you guys down the road.”
