As noted before, AEW has been in talks with FOX for a potential new media rights deal for a new show rumored to be called AEW Shockwave. This new show is believed to be replacing Rampage, which is expected to be cancelled by the end of this year.
Figthful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that AEW officials have spoken with various television networks in recent months for a potential media rights deal for their Shockwave show. Sapp reported that he had first heard that AEW was shopping Rampage around in the early summer.
Sapp reported that FOX is currently the heavy rumored landing point for this new show but at the moment, no deal has been made yet between the two sides.
Sapp also reported that as of this week, AEW’s currently slate of weekly programming for 2025 is set to be AEW Dynamite, AEW Collision, and ROH TV while Rampage and Battle of the Belts are currently not planned to continue and Shockwave still in discussions.
