This past Saturday’s Bound For Glory 2024 event for TNA Wrestling in Detroit, Michigan featured TNA officially inducting Bob Ryder and Rhyno into their Hall of Fame for this year’s class of inductees.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated TNA officials had considered other names for potential inductions for this year’s TNA Hall of Fame class. Among the other names considered included Monty Brown and AJ Styles.
TNA officials reportedly had approached WWE over their idea to induct Styles but WWE officials passed on the opportunity and were not willing to give them Styles for their Hall of Fame ceremony.
It was reported that while no specific reason was given, those within TNA believe that WWE’s rejection may have been related to Styles’ current foot injury or their future storyline plans for him.
Styles had worked for TNA/Impact from 2002 to 2014.
