Footage Released of Gabe Kidd & Kenny Omega Backstage Altercation at NJPW Power Struggle 2024

As noted before, this past Monday’s Power Struggle 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling featured Kenny Omega making an appearance and announced his upcoming in-ring return from diverticulitis. Omega’s appearance was also notable for him being involved in a storyline backstage altercation with Gabe Kidd. Following the altercation, NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi announced that he had fined and gave a warning to Kidd over his backstage attack.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported on Twitter that he received footage of Kidd and Omega’s backstage altercation from a member of the Japanese press who was at the event.

Kidd and Omega’s backstage altercation is currently speculated to have been the start of a storyline feud to setup a match between the two at AEW and NJPW’s co-promoted Wrestle Dynasty event on January 5, 2025 in Tokyo.
