As noted before, The Lucha Brothers’ Rey Fenix’s contract had been originally set to expire this past September. AEW recently added almost a full year’s worth of injury time to Fenix’s contract and currently have no plans to release him. Fenix recently announced that he will have his “chance to speak the truth.”
Fenix provided an update on Saturday on Twitter in response to his “speak the truth” tweet.
Fenix stated “No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.” No other details were given by Fenix regarding his comments.

LuchaBlog reported that Fenix has a habit of teasing big things and not following up on it afterwards. It was reported that Fenix had made comments last year about “silent racism” only to later delete the tweet and offered no follow up explanation. It was also reported that Fenix rarely actually explains what he is mad about when he goes on an online rant.
Fenix has a habit of teasing big things – last year, he tweeted and deleted a comment about "silent racism." He rarely actually explains what he's mad about. Maybe real stuff is happening. Maybe he won't log into twitter again until his next meet & greet.https://t.co/mGylppCVyT
