WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque released a video earlier today on Twitter featuring him and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. During the video, Levesque stated that he got Rhodes a special “one night only” gift for him for WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show this Saturday in Uniondale, New York.
“We keep talking about Saturday Night’s Main Event. You know, the whole theme of that thing is going to be retro. Jesse Ventura’s going to be there. Long Island, New York, Nassau Coliseum. With that in mind, got something for you. Understand this: One night only.”

In regards to this special gift, Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the return of the classic Winged Eagle title has been a topic of serious discussion of late backstage.
It was reported that a number of talent have mentioned bringing back classic titles to WWE with Rhodes being among the most vocal of them. It was also reported that this was a contributing factor to WWE officials having their new WWE Tag Team Championship belts having more of a classic look to them.
WWE’s Winged Eagle design for the WWE Championship spanned from 1988 to 1998 in the company.
