As noted before, Kenny Omega will be making his in-ring return at AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s upcoming co-promoted Wrestle Dynasty event in January 5, 2025 in Japan. Omega has been out of action since this past January due to diverticulitis and surgery.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that it is currently not known if AEW officials have changed their original plans for Omega’s in-ring return from diverticulitis to the company.
Sapp reported that AEW officials had plans at one point for Omega to feud with Kazuchika Okada for his return from injury. Sapp reported that it is currently not known if those plans have been changed in wake of the on-going Death Riders takeover storyline in AEW.
Sapp also speculated that Omega might make a return appearance in AEW before the end of this year.
