Matt Cardona Reportedly Offered Contract from AEW

Former WWE and TNA talent Matt Cardona has made several notable appearances for AEW and Ring of Honor in recent weeks. Cardona’s appearances have been part of the build for his upcoming match against Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at this Friday’s ROH Final Battle 2024 event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York.

Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that AEW officials recently offered a contract to Cardona. Meltzer reported that it is currently not known if Cardona has already signed a contract or is close to doing so.

Meltzer’s comments were in response to a question from co-host Bryan Alvarez about AEW currently selling a Cardona shirt on their AEWShop online store was any indication of him being close to signing a new contract.
