This past Friday’s Final Battle 2024 event for Ring of Honor at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York featured Bandido making his surprise return to ROH from a broken wrist injury.
Following Chris Jericho’s victory over Matt Cardona to retain the ROH World Championship, The Learning Tree’s Big Bill & Bryan Keith attacked Cardona leading to Bandido making his surprise return and ran out to save Cardona. During the ensuring brawl with the Learning Tree Bandido hit a missile dropkick to Jericho and landed awkwardly on his head. This left Bandido in a wobbly state afterwards and the rest of the post-match brawl breaking down over Bandido’s status.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported in Sunday’s Daily Update that his sources stated that Bandido had suffered a concussion injury at ROH’s Final Battle 2024 event.
Meltzer reported that a potential timetable for Bandido’s recovery is currently not known due to the unpredictable nature of a concussion injury.
Meltzer also reported that prior to his injury, Bandido had been planned to start a feud with Jericho for the ROH World title for the reason why he came out after the match.
