Friday’s WWE SmackDown drew 1,528,000 viewers on USA Network, up from the previous week’s 1,436,000 viewers. That week’s show was notable for being the SmackDown three-hour premiere show.
It drew a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demographic, up from the previous week’s 0.41 rating.
In regards to notable sports competition, the 2025 Mayo Bowl College football game of Minnesota vs. Virginia Tech drew 3,384,000 viewers on ESPN, the College basketball game of Michigan State vs. Ohio State drew 1,135,000 viewers on FOX, and the NBA game of New York Knicks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder drew 308,000 viewers on NBA TV.
Last year’s SmackDown on January 5, 2024 drew 2,466,000 viewers and a 0.67 rating on FOX. The January 6, 2023 episode drew 2,257,000 viewers on FOX.
