— Averno has been doing a press tour across Mexico City, doing his best to assure everyone that he is not leaving for WWE. Instead, he would take La Mascara’s mask next Friday night at Arena Mexico. He even had his father Rodolfo Ruiz take back his previous statements that Averno was leaving.
— EMLL referee Rafa el Maya is in better spirits following his heart surgery on Monday. He says he may have to have another surgery, but he is going to get through it. It is speculated that he will have to retire because of his condition.
— El Mesias stated yesterday that his upcoming match with L.A. Par-K at Triplemania XIX next week will be the match of their lives. It will be remembered as the greatest match in Triplemania’s history. He then promised to the fans that he would win because he would have to have died in the ring because it would take that for him to lose.
— L.A. Par-K responded to El Mesias, saying that he thinks it’s ridiculous that the fans cheer for him, since he is “a dirty Puerto Rican and that real Mexicans hate them.” He went on to say that he is the best luchador in Mexico, and that everyone knows that.
— Rush stated that his upcoming match against Ultimo Guerrero for the CMLL Heavyweight Title this Sunday will be the biggest match of his career. He said he isn’t intimidated by Guerrero’s history in the promotion and that a win over him would put him over the top and make him a major player in the industry.
