Update on AEW Dynamite Viewership for January 15th Episode
As noted before, the January 15th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 679,000 viewers and a 0.18 key demographic rating. That week’s show was notable for being the Dynamite Maximum Carnage special.
This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter included additional detailed key demographic viewership breakdowns that were not available in last week’s issue due to ratings report release delay and other timing-related issues.
AEW Dynamite quarter hour viewership breakdowns were:
- 1Q – 831,000 overall viewers and 252,000 key demo viewers (Dynamite Maximum Carnage hype video segment and the bulk of the Brian Cage vs. Kenny Omega match)
- 2Q – 703,000 overall viewers and 236,000 key demo viewers (Ending of the Cage vs. Omega match & post-match brawl with Don Callis Family & Will Ospreay, the Hurt Syndicate video promo segment, and the Learning Tree video promo segment)
- 3Q – 683,000 overall viewers and 234,000 key demo viewers (Ricochet promo segment & brawl with Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana, the Mercedes Mone video segment, and the bulk of the Hurt Syndicate vs. Private Party & Mark Briscoe Trios match)
- 4Q – 649,000 overall viewers and 212,000 key demo viewers (Ending of the Hurt Syndicate vs. Private Party & Briscoe Trios match, the PAC & Cope video segment, the Rated FTR video promo segment, and the start of the Jeff Jarrett & MJF promo segment)
- 5Q – 675,000 overall viewers and 246,000 key demo viewers (Bulk of the Jarrett & MJF promo segment & brawl, the Kauchika Okada vs. Tomohiro Ishii match hype video segment, and the start of the HOOK vs. Christian Cage match)

- 8Q – 605,000 overall viewers and 245,000 key demo viewers (Bulk of the AEW World Championship match of Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Jon Moxley (c))
- Overrun – 611,000 overall viewers and 254,000 key demo viewers (Ending of the AEW World Championship match & post-match brawl with Death Riders & Rated FTR)
More on AEW Dynamite Viewership for January 22nd
The January 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite saw AEW gain a slight increase in key demographic ratings and key demographic rankings but suffered a small decline in overall viewership.
AEW drew 655,000 viewers and a 0.19 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was #10 place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reasons for AEW’s mixed results this week was due to the large decline from their younger key demographic viewership group, which was down 24.1% compared to last week’s show. This reportedly offset the increases from their older male key demographic and older female key demographic groups, which were up 24.8% and 7.4% respectively compared to last week’s show. Meltzer reported that the viewership on MAX for the show is currently not known. Meltzer speculated that it is likely the reason for the large decline in the younger key demographic viewership group was due to most of them watched the show on MAX. AEW’s lead-in programming Big Bang Theory drew 850,000 viewers and a 0.12 rating.
In terms of head-to-head competition, the NBA game of Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks drew 1,172,000 viewers on ESPN, the College basketball game of Kansas vs. TCU drew 433,000 viewers on ESPN2, The Challenge drew 324,000 viewers on MTV, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City drew 574,000 viewers on BRAVO, Sistas Series drew 738,000 viewers on BET, and My 600-LB Life drew 420,000 viewers on TLC.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 250,000 viewers. AEW’s Males 18-34 had 41,000 viewers (down 34.4%), Females 18-34 had 26,000 viewers (down 3.8%), Males 35-49 had 126,000 viewers (up 24.8%), and Females 35-49 had 58,000 viewers (up 7.4%). Meltzer reported that AEW’s males/female viewership split was 66.8% in favor of males.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 21.7% in overall viewership and down 30.9% in key demographic viewership. Meltzer reported that AEW’s 18-34 key demographic viewership was down 58% compared to the same week last year. Meltzer reported that one main reason for the large declines is due to the unknown key demographic viewership migration on MAX compared to last year’s show.

More on AEW Collision Viewership for January 18th
The January 18th episode of AEW Collision saw AEW gain a small increase in key demographic rankings and a slight increase in overall viewership and key demographic ratings. That week’s show was notable for being the Collision Maximum Carnage special.
AEW drew 342,000 viewers and a 0.10 key demographic rating on TNT. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was #19 place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reason for AEW’s increases that week was due to the large increase from their overall key demographic viewership group, which was up 19.7% compared to the prior week’s show. Of AEW’s key demographic viewership increase, their younger key demographic viewership group was up 32.3% compared to the prior week’s show. This reportedly offset the large decline from their Over 50 viewership group, which its percentage was not given. Meltzer reported that the viewership on MAX for the show is currently not known.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the 2025 NFL Playoffs Divisional game of Washington Commanders vs. Detroit Lions drew 34,587,000 viewers on NBC, the College basketball game of Duke vs. Boston College drew 866,000 viewers on ESPN, the College basketball game of Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State drew 272,000 viewers on ESPN2, the UFC Prelims 311 drew 411,000 viewers on FS1, On Patrol Live drew 464,000 viewers on REELZ Channel, and My 600-Lb. Life Super Sized drew 177,000 viewers on TLC.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 140,000 viewers. AEW’s Males 18-34 had 18,000 viewers (up 38.5%), Females 18-34 had 23,000 viewers (up 27.8%), Males 35-49 had 72,000 viewers (up 7.5%), and Females 35-49 had 27,000 viewers (up 42.1%). Meltzer reported that AEW’s males/female viewership split was 64.3% in favor of males.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 22.4% in overall viewership and down 13.6% in key demographic viewership. Meltzer reported that AEW’s 18-34 key demographic viewership was down 22.6% compared to the same week last year.
